Banana Pudding

Delicious and easy Banana Pudding filled with fresh bananas, butter chessman cookies, and a homemade French vanilla pudding. Recipe can be whipped up in as easy as 25 minutes! This is my families favorite banana pudding recipe I’ve made. It is adapted from Paula Dean’s Not Yo Mama’s Banana Pudding. Follow along the recipe in the blog post below and enjoy!

How To Make Banana Pudding:

You will need 3 bowls:

Bowl 1: Beat instant pudding mix and milk together; set aside.

Bowl 2: Beat cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk together; set aside.

Bowl 3: Beat heavy whipping cream and granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.

Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture, then mix in pudding until well combined.

Assemble in a 8X8 dish or in ramekins: 1 layer cookies, bananas, pudding mix, another layer cookies.

Refrigerate and enjoy!

Banana Pudding

Easy, simple, and delicious banana pudding made with butter chessman cookies, French vanilla pudding, and bananas!

Servings 8 Servings

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (125ml) heavy whipping cream cold
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 7-oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4-oz cream cheese (half of 1 8-oz package) softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ (5-oz) box instant French vanilla pudding mix
  • 3-4 bananas sliced
  • 1 bag chessman cookies

Instructions

  • Start by layering the bottom of either a 8X8 baking dish or 8 ramekins with half of the chessman cookies. (If using ramekins, break cookies to fit the small dish.) Layer the bananas on top of the cookies.
  • Next, beat milk and pudding mix together using a hand mixer; set aside.
  • In another bowl combine cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk together and beat until smooth; set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream and slowly add in the granulated sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold whipped cream into the pudding mixture and stir until well combined, then add cream cheese mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  • Divide pudding mixture evenly among 8 ramekins or pour over cookies and bananas if using an 8X8 baking dish. Top with remaining cookies. (Optional: Crush the cookies on top for a desired look.) Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving enjoy!
